Some Lists and Resources

THE PROBLEM: I'm waiting to hear back from a subject source about permission to use images from their website.

WHO'S ALREADY ON IT: Me, and (I presume) them.

So, while waiting, here are some resources for further discovery of projects and people to keep you SANE during these times. People just up and do things! There's no stopping us! We'll build what we and our communities need to survive! Who needs permission from the wider society?

FROM JOE BREWER:

Medium.com is a welcome presence in my inbox for the variety of viewpoints it publishes - and because Joe Brewer, co-founder of Earth Regenerators and the Design School for Regenerating Earth, publishes there regularly. Here is his reading list for regeneration topics, informing and expanding on his work activating groups in the US, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, and India to work towards regenerating their local watersheds.

If you want to read Joe himself, order his book, The Design Pathway for Regenerating Earth, from the Earth Regenerators web site. It's good, lemme tell ya!

FROM KIRSTEN DIRKSEN:

I realized a lot of the videos of projects that keep me SANE were coming from the same source, Kirsten Dirksen's YouTube channel. She has posted 1,100 videos and has nearly 2 million subscribers, so she's way beyond me and I just follow in her shadow. Her YouTube description says, "Videos about simple living, self-sufficiency, small (and tiny) homes, backyard gardens (and livestock), alternative transport, DIY, craftsmanship, and philosophies of life."

Kirsten is co-founder of *faircompanies, along with filmmaker Nicolas Boullosa. The *faircompanies web site is the real home of all the YouTube videos and even more links to companies, projects, and people building differently on this dear old Earth. They've been doing this for more than a decade. Lots of embedded links dwell in their About text, which is straightforward:

"We talk about simple living, technology, reason, enlightenment, markets, philosophy, fairness, well being. We invite you to participate and share formulas to improve the world right now, beyond the noise of demonstrations or the imposition of ideologies."

I could spend all day on the *faircompanies web site, watching videos. But I have to go to work now!
